Chuck Todd is right. History has taught us this when it comes to health care legislation in this country. Bill Clinton and Barack Obama weren't the first Presidents to take a swing at sweeping health care reform in this country. Just because Chuck Todd, as a journalist, isn't a liberal cheerleader certainly doesn't make him "part of the problem."

Oh yeah...a little W.H. correspondent is part of the problem.

NOOOOOO..this bunch is nothing like the Nixon W.H. How dare anyone make that comparison.

dead? They work on it for an entire year and get almost nothing else accomplished. The congress would look absolutely disgraceful if they didnt end up passing meaningful legislation. Why would it be dead when the calendar turns to 2010? Unless republicans somehow gain a majority which isnt happening, its not dead.

I fear Todd might be right. This whole year has been about the right doing everything they can to obstruct, and Obama has wasted a lot of time trying to appease people who hate him and who want to see him fail. Unfortunately I think Obama bought into his own rhetoric about leading the country to a post-partisan place, a lovely dream but not practical. His opponents are trying to undo any sort of progressive legislation by a death-of-a-thousand-cuts and then will blame him for not getting things done.

Let's see..this thing was going to be 'Rahmmed' through before the August recess so they could all pat themselves on the back in their home states and districts. Now it might be next year? Oh yeah, in an election year? HA! right!

This bill is dead. It's a classic Liberal overreach. The people are wise to it. Push all your socialist utopian dreams through in the first 6 months. Didn't work!

I'm sure you'll be dancing at the healthcare insurers victory ball. Just make sure you don't break your leg because they might not approve coverage.

Todd, you are no Tim Russert, so put your white board away.

But I do like you as the manager on "Flight of the Concords."
