I'm still pretty sure that Beck doesn't actually know what Marxist means.

I'm pretty sure you are correct. He brags about being a "self-educated" man . . . he should have fired the teacher.

[I posted this same post earlier . . . don't know where it went.]

See, Glenn's family was all crazy. That's the family business. If he wasn't crazy, then he'd be disowned. Just like John Kennedy. Ha!

If this doesn't scare you, then you must be a Marxist also!

Failing to believe this flailing failing neocon bozo knows what Marxism is makes one a Marxist. Ok that makes 95 to 99% of the country Marxist. Have a good day comrade.

Rumor has it that Beck's family secretly replaces all household appliances with Playskool toys whenever he's home.

Glenn doesn't know what Marxist really means. He knows it is a bad thing to be, so he throws the word around, but he doesn't understand how to use it properly. JFK would still be a Democrat, and so would Bobby, and we lost a great lion when Teddy passed. The fact of the matter is, most of the great Republican statesmen of decades passed would not be allowed to carry the Republican standard now, not Goldwater, not Weiker, probably not even Richard Nixon would be socially conservative enough, and unbending enough to make it in today's GOP, and let's also exclude dear Ol'Honest Abe. The Republican Party of today is starting to sound a lot like a KKK rally, and the good people who don't like it, are leaving the GOP in droves because people like Dreck and Insanity are saying the party needs to go even further right and they are disgusted by this.

He thinks Marxism has something to do with Groucho, Harpo, and Chico.....

Marxism means "not just like me." Republicans are less different than Beck, so they're Marxist-lite.

Since when was adhering to Marxist thought any worse than adhering to any other form of political and social thought?

Beck has started his own personal movement with his 9/12 mess. From there I suspect he thinks a third party will rise and vote out the Marxists and Republican Marxist Lites.

Maybe so, but the problem is that Beck nor his followers have a clue what Marxism is.

Beck is like most American's who are burdened with a 6th grade education and eternally trapped in those akward teenage years, "Marx bad man who wanted to steal rich man's money and put everyone in gulag" that is his level and about 80 percent of the general publics understanding of who Karl Marx was and what exactly his ideas were...and I
includes those individuals who would identify themselves as libreal too...It's a simple slur, doesn't mean anything to him other than to insult. Like a teenage boy calling another boy gay

Beck says Democratic Party "is for the most part Marxist," Republicans are "Marxist-lite"

Here is a history lesson for you Becky.

The critique of capitalism — In capitalist society, an economic minority (the bourgeoisie) dominate and exploit the working class (proletariat) majority.

That is a marxism theory. I would say that is happening right now. The same corporations you defend are the minority and are controling the majority which is the middle class of this country.

Beck is actually pretty anti-corporate. He's a populist, meaning he sees a virtuous people pitted against corrupt elite powers. He includes Democrats, Republicans, and corporations in those powers that inhibit freedom.

I'm not a big fan of the populist narrative, personally. But Beck is actually pretty mild for a populist. Alex Jones and his ilk are the real extreme ones.

Well, I am a democrat, and I am a Marxist. So, you're profiling worked here, sir.
But, you're wrong about liberalism being more extreme now than it was 50 or 60 years ago. If anything, we have grown more spoiled, content, and apathetic thanks to good ol' Reagan and the greed that dominated the 80s and 90s.
