Why does one have to pick a side in your distorted battlelines? How is being a liberal American hoping to make the U.S. into Venezula? Why is being for Liberal policies the same as being against Thomas Jefferson and James Madison or Alexander Hamilton? My heroes have always been President's like FDR, LBJ, JFK, and Truman and Madison and Jefferson and Mr. Hamilton. I don't see a Hugo Chavez in there at all. And somehow, Glenn, I don't see any of the Founding Fathers that you keep quoting backing your ideas for the country. I don't think they would approve at all. You hate government, you hate people, and you hate being told what to do (which is why you are so bent on telling the rest of us that we have to follow you.) What I do fear is that some crackpots will follow you and attack the government and cause all sorts of hate and discontent and bystanders will be hurt.

all those presidents you mentioned were trying to create a better society. they had a vision to make america a better place. i haven't the foggiest idea why the right can't at least 'respect' that in the end. they sit on this unreal amount of 'hate' for every thing and anything like 'creating a better society'. why is that? i understand 'traditional conservatives'. we can only disagree about HOW to go about creating a better society.

like in the 80's? i was 'trickle down' guy. (stop snickering at that phrase!). i was 20. it made a lot of sense. i believed that until i looked around all all the 'boats' that were going to 'float on the rising tide' never quite made it. so i changed my opinion and my politics. i like to think it was a rational understanding i had come to.

so many of these people seem not approach the problem with reason but more with 'passion'. it's like a college football game to them. it's way more about 'our team' than it is about fixing the problem at hand. one of the ugly side effects of rooting for you team is demonizing, not just the problem, but those who are having the problem: the poor, the homeless, the sick, the under educated...

i'm going to hit the "save" button again. i hope the post doesn't multiply!

Glenn, this 'Us & Them' bit is getting very stale. Along with Marxism, communism, socialism, and all the other poli-sci concepts you completely fail to grasp.

"You tell me it's the institution? Well, you know, you better free your mind instead." Lennon/McCartney

Try a little Beatles in your day, Glenn. It's healthier than coffee, or whatever other drugs you are taking. Of course, if you are on physician prescribed brain food, double the dosage. You got a little crazy on your face.

Yeah Glenny keep stirring that pot of paranoia you keep cooking.
Yes indeed, the big bad Marxists are EVERYWHERE and we must act NOW to save America! I am sure that the knuckledraggers who make up his base are oiling their guns as we speak waiting for word from Glenny or Rush or whomever to start the Revolution.
Frankly I am surprised that this moron is so popular. But then the Jerry Springer Show was a hit too so what does that tell you about America's viewing habits?
Personally if I have to make a choice between the "Marxists" and Glenn Beck's brand of 1776 "Revolutionaries" I'm choosing the Marxists!

Glenn is pushing as hard as he can, to get the government to tell him to back off. He will not stop until he has accomplished that. So they can all scream about losing their freedom of speech. It is killing him that the White House is ignoring him.

So it's a battle between 18th century revolutionaries and 20th century Marxists.

Which side mastered time travel so it could go fight the other one? Or were the revolutionaries immortal, like Highlanders?

And while we're on the subject of historical battles that could never happen, what's next, Vikings versus hippies?

        There can be only one.....

As for nonexistent battles, one of the Discovery/History type channels has a show that puts warriors from different times (e.g. Medival Knights against Ninjas?) into a 'simulation'. Neocons probably think it's 'history'.

So true. I always remind my kids of Ben Franklin's sage wisdom.

My favorite was when Ben Franklin blogged, "A penny saved is a penny earned, but mocking miscarriages will make you a millionaire. Oh, and lest anyone forget, the Revolutionary War pitted us against Marxist revolutionaries. We weren't really sure what was up with that, since this Marx guy hasn't even been born yet, but sometimes you just gotta man up. Peace out."

Let's see.... I would rather be with the fathers of the constitution, because they were for and about the people. Something this country is not about. Since it has became a business first then people mentality. Now that is Marxism Becky!

Again Projection is all the right-wing does. We all know that what they project they are doing or will like to do.
