Gretchen Carlson, An Apology from You is still the Order of the Day.

The CIA has been friendly with certain drug dealers for decades. Big surprise.

Ms. Carlson, you have a problem with perception, backing the Health Insurance Thugs!
Gretchen Carlson is always angry and ourtraged about something. If you watch her during that clip she was watching somebody off camera. She was taking direction.Keith Olbermann summed it up best when he called her: "actress, Gretchen Carlson." I guess "evil look, and convection" make up for any lack of crediabilty at Fox News.
We'd probably all be a lot better off if they could loosen up enough to actually dance for real, rather than simply goose-step at the end of Mr. Murdoch's strings.
"Ahmed Wali Karzai, the brother of the Afghan president and a suspected player in the country's booming illegal opium trade, gets regular payments from the Central Intelligence Agency, and has for much of the past eight years, according to current and former American officials." (NY Times, 10-27-09, emphasis added)
So, if Ahmed Wali Karzai is in fact involved in the opium trade, and if in fact he's been getting checks from the CIA, this is yet another Bush/Cheney legacy problem that President Obama will need to deal with.
If you're arguing for more troops into Afghanistan, you're ignoring Russia's disastrous attempt at nation building there, as well as failed Bush/Cheney policy, and, as a major producer of opium, the potential of increased trafficking into the U.S. during wartime of that drug. It happened with our escalation in Viet Nam, and it will happen here, too.
If you think dealing heroin wholesale is merely a 'checkered past', then you also probably also think it was okay that Rush Limbaugh escaped the penalties that any other American would've faced if caught with as much illegal oxycontin as he had in his possession. It was not a case of simple possession. Rather, under the guidelines, it could have been treated as possession with intent to deliver. Everything he owned, all his money, his house, his cars, could've been seized and sold off as profits of an illegal drug enterprise. Funny how we're supposed to 'just say no', but ignore the fact that it's okay if you're Republican.
Makes me think back to when Reagan thought it was a good idea to give Hussian chemical weapons.
If you know an effective way to "get rid of (drug dealers) later if you want to," there's a czar job you should be filling. None of the previous ones have had any success.
