Dobbs still a big Glenn Beck fan: repeats his line about Obama criticizing doctors for "ripping" out "tonsils," amputating feet
From the October 27 edition of CNN's Lou Dobbs Tonight:

From the October 23 edition of Fox News' Glenn Beck (transcripts retrieved from the Nexis database):
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
OBAMA: You come in and you got a bad sore throat, or your child has a bad sore throat or has repeated sore throats. The doctor may look at the reimbursement system and say to himself, "You know what? I'd make a lot more money if I take this kid's tonsils out." If that same diabetic ends up getting his foot amputated, that is $30,000, $40,000 $50,000 -- immediately the surgeon is reimbursed.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
BECK: Yes, see what I'm saying? Ripping tonsils out of little kids. Little Bobby's got no tonsils and little Freddie's got no feet now, huh? It sounds like somebody ain't playing for the team.
From the October 20 edition of Glenn Beck:
BECK: That's why progressives in California are trying to ban big screen TVs because they're bad for the environment, but these stupid people just keep buying them. That's why progressives want to take over health care because those greedy doctors -- they can't be trusted with all that incentives. They'll immediately start ripping the kids' tonsils out and cutting off feet for profit.
From the October 12 edition of Glenn Beck:
BECK: You combine that with increasing popular view that doctors are just ripping out tonsils out of kids that don't need their tonsils ripped out or cutting people's feet off just because the doctor wants to make a few extra bucks. Do you really think that you're going to see an increase in medical students? I don't think so -- and especially consider that the percentage of doctors who say they'll quit if this is passed is only 45 percent.
From the October 6 edition of Glenn Beck:
BECK: Doctors came to the White House, you know, the same people who are so money hungry that they are unnecessarily ripping tonsils out and amputating feet for cash. And that's the truth because the government would stop deception if it was happening.

Which is probably why CNN hasn't fired him: CNN management knows full well that the moment Dobbs signs off from CNN for the last time, he'll turn up on Fox News within a matter of weeks -- likely sandwiched between Glenn Beck and Fox's signature "Fox Report" newscast with Shepard Smith (The latter is just about the ONLY no-nonsense, straightforward hard-news program on Fox News, as Smith, the network's chief news anchor, is also the "Fox Report's" managing editor and is known for having an independent streak).
Given that Dobbs' ratings have hit rock bottom against both Fox and MSNBC -- and even against CNN's sister network, HLN (formerly Headline News) -- it's only a matter of time before he'll quit CNN anyway.
