No, really. If you reichwingers don't want to take the vaccine, I'm good with that. The goal is 50% of the US population, you'll be doing the country a great deed by sacraficing yourself for the greater good. I'm happy that y'all want to take the swine flu on as one of your own, please, get sick and die so the rest of the country can live!

The reason for taking the vaccine is two-fold. One reason is to prevent yourself from getting ill, but a more important reason is to stop people from spreading it to someone else.

That's why most hospitals are restricting visitors right now. It's not because they are afraid that visitors will get the disease - it's because they KNOW that people who have the flu but don't know it (either they have mild symptoms or they haven't come down with the symptoms yet) will infect other people in the hospital!!! That's why some states and hospitals are considering making vaccination mandatory - not to make sure that the nurses are healthy, so they can work, but so that those nurses don't infect a bunch of patients and visitors. The Flu is mostly spread thru the air, not through touching contaminated surfaces. Even breathing spreads the virus - you don't have to sneeze or cough to spread the bug.

The biggest reason to vaccinate a lot of people is to stem the epidemic as much as possible. As a byproduct, those people who are vaccinated won't infect someone else, but a bigger public health good is the fact that they won't infect anyone else if they got the vaccine.

If you aren't being sarcastic, you are completely uninformed. This flu came to the U.S. via U.S. tourists to Mexico.

      D. Imus' comment about Cebelius (sp?) makes no sense. Cebelius made perfect sense. You may choose not to believe her but that's a different matter. Why is D. Imus on any show? For that matter, why is Hannity?

Diedre Imus is one of the leaders in the anti-vaccine cause who continue to believe that vaccines cause Autism . . . it's a big deal for them. [Research has debunked this claim.]

How is this guy a reverend? "Illegal immigrant disease"? That's really Christian of him. Trash like this is the reason people continually turn away from the church. Does he realize Jesus was an immigrant, too. How can Sean say anything about Rev. Wright when he has a racist like this on his show. I remember a few years ago, he was on Hannity's radio show every week, and I used to wonder why people like this are given a voice or forum to spread this useless, baseless, tasteless hate. I would love to hear one of Sean's fans explain how what this waste of flesh said was not racist. I hope this "reverend" gets sent to He!!'s basement in a fur coat soaked in gasoline, and he can take every other racist (black, white, and anywhere in-between) with him.
By the way, did anyone else notice how quickly Sean cut him off, as if he suddenly realized his token had just stepped in it big time. Too bad he didn't do it before his so-called "Great American Panel" laughed at this blatantly racist comment, thus showing their approval of racism. Is there any wonder why these people keep getting labeled?

patterson still hasn't done enough dancing to get that big piece of cake yet? I was watching FNC HD tonight and the lies seemed so crystal clear. we all know patterson is a bigot to all and a sell out to his race both Af Am and human. It's just sad when people are so paranoid that they can't trust an administration which has done nothing but help America on the road to recovery. blindind by such partisan rage that just because there is a D at the end of the person's title they will go against rape victims, those bankrupt from medical bills, and those who are dying from not having health care....just plain sad

Doesn't Hannity have some person researching the H1N1 information for his show? The reason it is not hitting old people as hard and the government is not putting a huge emphasis on old people getting the vaccine is because many older people have already been exposed to a similar strain that broke out several decades ago. It's children and people under 25 that need to get it because they haven't been exposed to the virus in any way, shape or form (they also suggest it for adults with immune system problems or respiratory issues).

As for doctors not knowing what people have, doctors are not human microscopes with blood analyzers attached to their hips. Doctors can make a darn good guess based on people's symptoms, but there is never any guarantee without the test. Using this as an argument to avoid the vaccine is just stupid. He is encouraging parents to help kill their kids simply because the "government doesn't know what it is." I've talked to plenty of doctors and pharmacists that all encourage the vaccine, especially for young children because the risk of death without it is much higher. (This isn't a certified medical opinion, so please do not rely on this to make your decision regarding the vaccine.)

Such logic is too much to bear. Brain exploding!

      Let's see...

I guess he also thinks AIDS is a "gay disease", and bird flu is a Chinese plot to take over the world.

I swear, Fox get's their "contributors" by randomly picking up some bum off the street, give them a shave, put a suit on them, then tell them to just speak random words.

Who cares? The Fox-huggers will believe anything they say!
