In O'Reilly's case, "body language" means he's talking out of his ass.

He speaks fluent flatulence, and that gets Rush all flushed and flustered.

Fox News teases O'Reilly segment: "Body language investigates" whether Clinton has "called it quits" on running in 2012

With hard-hitting, Pulitzer-worthy pieces like that, how could anyone seriously question Fox's hard news bonafides?

What's next, a Glenn Beck exclusive interview with the Bat Boy? Complete with those "actual photos"?

I think this body language stuff is stupid, but so what if O'Reilly is doing this? What's the big deal or the harm?

Hillary will either run again or she won't. Big whoopdie doo.

The body language stuff is not the disease, it's only another symptom. The more symptoms you identify, the better the diagnosis.

        Hey Jeter! Long time.

I kind of view this differently. Fox has long been obsessed with the meme that Clinton is a maniacal power-hungry witch and this is just more support for that idea. I think Fox thinks they can cleverly use reverse-psychology to bait Clinton into challenging Obama in 2012.

Fox has used tons of hair-brained logic that can only really be explained by the above view of Clinton. I am sure we all remember how Fox claimed in 2004 that Wes Clark was actually a "Clinton Stalking Horse". And they were simply amazed how Clinton could go all of the way into October of 2003 without officially announcing her candidacy? Some of the Fox personalities were so sure Clinton was going to run, they ran headlines that suggested Clinton had actually screwed up somehow despite her consistent denials she was even interested in running at the time.

Furthermore Dick Morris has managed to parlay the Hillary as an evil shrew meme into an actual cottage industry.

          Hey Open_Mind,

Long time no see. I've only been posting occasionally. Have you been around much? There are so many threads now it's easy to miss people.

You might be right about Fox's motivation regarding Hillary, but I doubt it will work. I don't expect she'll run again. I used to be one of those that only viewed her as shrill & riding on Bill's coattails. But I really came to admire her during the campaign. And still do.

I'm sure Dick Morris would love to write a book predicting she'll challenge Obama in 2012...but as we all know that guy never gets anything right.

I just noticed a new thread has O'Reilly asking this body language "expert" about Hillary's "cackle" Geeze it never stops does it? Ha!

I think these body language segments are a joke. But I guess they must be popular with O'Reilly's audience. Which tells ya all you need to know about that crowd ;-)

You're probably right, Jeter. Glad to see your kind and thoughtful personality has not been affected at all by the animosity that seems to have taken over too many good people lately.

I'll see ya around the boards.

            :)

I doubt Hillary ever had any plans of running in 2012. Even if Obama had lost the general I doubt she would have run.

Yes, she had a respectable career for herself in the Senate. I think she could have served several more terms and then retired.
