What do you say? It made me smile and it will put me in a good mood. I loved the card tricks.

Wilmore was really nervous. His hands were shaking badly. To his magician credit, though, the rough-and-smooth deck worked exactly the way it was supposed to, and he handled the cards well.

What's funny is that Beck and Limbaugh would call this performance racist.

I completely reject the notion of reverse racism. Racism is something people of any color or ethnicity can experience…but I think the idea of “reverse” is referring to that where in one case one group was the oppressor, and now the oppressed take on the role of oppressor (because racism is a form of oppression). But when we look at the situation of the United States today it should be clear that people of color, American Indians, and immigrants are highly oppressed….therefore we cannot bite back when things do not seem equal, because we don’t live in projects or prison cells.

I love it. Put a happy smiley face on it and go on The Daily Show and you can say stuff like "kick that HONKEY'S ars". It's like David Letterman. Cheat on your wife, joke about it on tv and all is forgiven. Put your wife through he** on national tv and just brush it off with a chuckle or two. The world of liberalism is a magical place where, as a liberal, you don a cyber ecto-suit of 'good intent' and do all those things you condemn others for doing. Then, as you leave that magical kingdom, you climb out of your prophylactic and pretend it never happened. "It was just a joke" you can proudly whine. "No one got hurt(too badly)" is the timid excuse.

OMG, you are completely clueless. He was clearly mocking Rush Limbaugh for his ignorant and racist statement. I can't speak anything to the Letterman thing, but the rest of what you wrote is gibberish.

I'm not sure if it's all on record yet, but I believe Letterman's affairs were before he was married, so the "cheating on his wife" bit may be just another lie puppy has been told.

DL was involved with the woman he's married to now, so maybe that qualifies to the phony-outrage right wing.

I guess the same sort of chronologically-impaired thinking that allows one to believe you can murder your child eight months before you have a child can absorb the idea of a single man cheating on his future wife.

The comments on The Daily Show bit just show, once again, that wingnuts are completely unable to make the distinction between racism and satirical commentary on racism. That must be so frustrating to the closet racists, seeing what they perceive as others being allowed to be racist.

Col. said "That must be so frustrating to closet racists, seeing what they perceive as others being allowed to be racist."

I think that the wingnuts know exactly what they're saying; they are perfectly able to see the satire, but they disregard it and don't aknowledge the satire because doing so would interfere with their talking points and their "righteous" indignation when their own racism is exposed. They scream about liberals "racism" to distract from their own actions and attitudes. I doubt they ACTUALLY think the way they SAY they think.

Then again, I could be wrong, which would mean that the wingnuts are so totally oblivious to their own lies that they have come to belive them and cannot process anything that proves them wrong.

You may be right, HG. It could be dishonesty as easily as it is cluelessness. Those seem to explain most wingnut behavior, they're lying or confused.

I guess there's a third option, jealousy that other people understand things enough that they can create humor out of the worst in life, where cons can only take the worst and make it worse.

Letterman when faced with being exposed did something very un-conservative(un-republican).He told the truth. The conservatives(republicans)like playing cards,race,anti-semitism,un-American,nazi,hitler,etc.etc.A card game is either the luck of the draw,a trick,or both.People go to a casino for a fake chance to be a millionaire.Being a casino card dealer is not qualification to represent The American People

No kidding. The only reason that scum told the truth is because he faced being exposed. Now, of course, he's so sorry, and sincerely regrets his years of being a dirtbag. Although he's nowhere near the sort of cretin embodied in the beloved progressive, John Edwards, he's catching up . . .

I wonder whether he'll be remarried before y'all progressives support him again for president. If y'all didn't know yet, his qualifications are stellar. I think he once mentioned that he's the son of a millworker and an ambulance chaser

Or, the republicans (Ensign) gets "counseled" by their nutjob brethren (Coburn) and then attempt to quash the scandal by putting the mistress' husband in an illegal lobbying job and getting their rich daddy to make a "gift".

It always amazes me how truly clueless some folks are. I mean how do you go through life?

David Letterman is being blackmailed and HE is scum?

Seriously what kind of drugs do you folks take in wing-nut land?

Now, of course, he's so sorry, and sincerely regrets his years of being a dirtbag
            .
WHAT makes him a dirt-bag? The fact that he had sex?

Once again, WHAT part of David Letterman is being blackmailed don't you get?

Although he's nowhere near the sort of cretin embodied in the beloved progressive, John Edwards, he's catching up . .

I could give a rat's a** about John Edwards, my ONLY concern was for his wife, who is fighting cancer and her children.

And you obviously haven't stuck your head out from under the rock you've been living under for the last 8 years.

Buy a clue! John Edwards couldn't have been THAT beloved, considering he didn't win a single primary in 2008.

Exactlty, at least Newt Gingrich, Bob Livingston, Bob Packwood and countless other repukes were trying to impeach a president during their secret affairs! The fact that they were enforcing morality completely makes up for the fact that they simultaneously lacked morality, or at least that's the impression I seem to getting from wingnuts like yourself.
