The humor in not in the stereotypes themselves, but rather in the fact that there are still those who cling to them.
Thank you, Daily Show.
DL was involved with the woman he's married to now, so maybe that qualifies to the phony-outrage right wing.
I guess the same sort of chronologically-impaired thinking that allows one to believe you can murder your child eight months before you have a child can absorb the idea of a single man cheating on his future wife.
The comments on The Daily Show bit just show, once again, that wingnuts are completely unable to make the distinction between racism and satirical commentary on racism. That must be so frustrating to the closet racists, seeing what they perceive as others being allowed to be racist.
I think that the wingnuts know exactly what they're saying; they are perfectly able to see the satire, but they disregard it and don't aknowledge the satire because doing so would interfere with their talking points and their "righteous" indignation when their own racism is exposed. They scream about liberals "racism" to distract from their own actions and attitudes. I doubt they ACTUALLY think the way they SAY they think.
Then again, I could be wrong, which would mean that the wingnuts are so totally oblivious to their own lies that they have come to belive them and cannot process anything that proves them wrong.
I guess there's a third option, jealousy that other people understand things enough that they can create humor out of the worst in life, where cons can only take the worst and make it worse.
No kidding. The only reason that scum told the truth is because he faced being exposed. Now, of course, he's so sorry, and sincerely regrets his years of being a dirtbag. Although he's nowhere near the sort of cretin embodied in the beloved progressive, John Edwards, he's catching up . . .
They're all vying with Edwards to have Dave Matthews come sing at their prospective weddings. What a classy guy, ole Johnny-boy is. . . I heard he's being wed on one of the rooftops of a home he's helping to build down in New Orleans . ..
I wonder whether he'll be remarried before y'all progressives support him again for president. If y'all didn't know yet, his qualifications are stellar. I think he once mentioned that he's the son of a millworker and an ambulance chaser
And not a very good one at that.
Why is it that when faced with countless republican adulturers, you just brush them off and go on and on about Edwards? Are you even aware that you're engaging in this glaring double-standard? Someone needs some self-awareness training. Just bizarre.
It always amazes me how truly clueless some folks are. I mean how do you go through life?
David Letterman is being blackmailed and HE is scum?
Seriously what kind of drugs do you folks take in wing-nut land?
.
WHAT makes him a dirt-bag? The fact that he had sex?
Once again, WHAT part of David Letterman is being blackmailed don't you get?
I could give a rat's a** about John Edwards, my ONLY concern was for his wife, who is fighting cancer and her children.
And you obviously haven't stuck your head out from under the rock you've been living under for the last 8 years.
Buy a clue! John Edwards couldn't have been THAT beloved, considering he didn't win a single primary in 2008.
