Larry King should stick to his "psychics" like Sylvia Browne.

      Not psychos like Michelle Bachmann.

Dancing With The Stars has good ratings, too...

I hope that Limbaugh, Beck and Hannity continue to solidify their ratings such that the right wing extremist loons feel emboldened enough to push Sarah Palin for President...and Michelle Bachmann for VP. This brand of right wing extremism will always be a political loser.

Her reelection makes you wonder about those in her district. She thinks 2% is a movement.

What's not funny is how did she ever in the wide wide world of sports ever get elected. 2% is critical mass?

The question is can she get re-elected. It's easy to forgive people for one mistake. But twice...?

the question is can she even count up to 20 without having a brain fart? can you imagine bachmann and palin going at it in a contest to see who is dumber? it would be a back and forth battle just like the twins-tigers game last night, but eventually one would screw up. and the good thing is, at the end, one will be dumb and the other one dumber, just like it should be. jim carrey and jeff daniels dont even do it justice.

People do NOT go where they hear truth unless they seek it and have no prior biases, conceptions or beliefs on the subject. Its usually the exact opposite. People seek out justification for furthering prior convictions. That is psychology 101. If people believe in something, they will tend to seek out information that upholds this conviction - the stronger someone believes in something, the more motivated they will be to find proof of their belief regardless of whether such information is genuine or fraudulent. I believe some people convince themselves that information is in fact accurate despite knowing deep down that it is really not.

And I find it impossible to think this country is smart but I guess the question must be asked, smart compared to what? I would like to believe that Americans are on average an intelligent, well informed group but many signs point to the contrary. We don't just have citizens but elected officials who continue to deny the existence of basic scientific facts. If anything, I think the average intelligence level has peaked and is currently regressing. I dont remember public officials debating over the scientific realities of evolution compared to creationism when I was in Elementary school. I was initially shocked to learn that public officials with absolutely no scientific background would try to delegitimize the overwhelming majority of scientists of the world by claiming that global warming is not really happening. I am 25 and I have yet to hear a single argument against Darwin's theory of natural selection nor have I ever read a scientific argument that has legitimately opposed the idea. Darwin set his theories on paper in 1859 and despite being adopted into almost every single scientific discipline known to man no one has actually succeeding in scientifically disproving it. If we can question science without providing the slightest support against it, I guess we can really believe in all sorts of ridiculousness but it won't make it true and it certainly does not help support an argument that America is intelligent.

Darwin's theory was integrated and set as the foundation for the most sweeping and pervasive of global movements - Adam smith incorporated Darwin's ideas into his book, the wealth of nations which essentially gave birth to modern capitalism. The invisible hand is really Darwin's survival of the fittest. Thomas Malthus used Darwin's notions to write an essay on the principle of population mapping out a still conceivable future of this world. Mendel's theory of inheritance that set the framework for what we call genetics is intrinsically linked to and the consequence of Darwin's theory. To deny Darwin's ideas is essentially to refuse to accept the guiding principles of capitalism and to refuse to accept the scientific field of genetics.

She was pwned by a 100 year old man, who remembers the Brooklyn Dodgere, for Chrissakes. I feel a hook coming out from the Repubs (similar to Ann Coulter during the campaign) that takes MB off the stage.

does this woman even know what the definition of "mass" is? because if she thinks this "mass" is watching fox news, she is either extremely ignorant or terrible at doing simple math. when 1-2% of the american people are watching fox news, it is patently irrelevant to even mention.

she probably memorizes the ratings like oreilly and pulls out the figures like a holster on her belt whenever she is in a political debate. instead of bringing up policies and actual issues, she just talks about the simple-minded ratings claim kissing up to the fox news viewers and teabaggers that believe her BS.

i swear, as of late it seems like bachmann has become the spokesperson/lobbyist for fox news. now, every time you see her speaking or doing a speech or conference, she is gloating and bragging about their ratings. i hope they are paying her good money for it, too. hell, i bet oreilly and beck are sending her out on assignment to lobby for their network. she could use a side job along with the side show clown role she plays in congress.
