All right - BillO sees which way the wind is blowing, and he won't have anyone saying he doesn't also blow...

O'Reilly fanned the flames for a long time. Even US citizens of his party are now cheering the US losing a bid to host the Olympics, and publicly so.

You know wolf kotenberg, that is a great observation if ever there was one. BillO has been as bloviated as the rest of the other zoo animals of there at Fox Noise about America being in big trouble now that more than 70% of the people have spoken.

I for one take BillO's trying to distance himself from not jumping on the "I'm glad America lost" bandwagon no differently than if it were one of those famous non-apology apologies he has given!

** I also believe that the reason the corporate right-wing whores and their propaganda channel are so desperate lately is because, like peak oil being reached, these clowns have realized that they are not able to convince anymore people to take them at all seriously, and slowly they are losing what base they do have as people begin to slowly wake up. **

Funny, they are getting stronger and stronger while your liberal pals are sinking like stones, maybe you should reassess your opinion.

And can you show any position that O'Reilly took against Obama and his efforts to secure the olympics for Chicago. And what did 70% of the people speak about?

O'rielly continues to prove that he does not bow down to FOX's bottom line of smearing obama at every turn. iS THIS group's name really Americans for prosperity?? I think they should rethink that - Americans for prosperity when republicans are in office maybe.

Since Americans for Prosperity bills itself as a grassroots organization then I think that it's the citizen tea-baggers who should take the brunt of criticism for the un-Amerian display of joy when Chicago was eliminated. In this instance it's not Rush Limbaugh or Glenn Beck, although they also expressed elation at Chicago's losing bid...these are regular citizens cheering, not right wing media figures. And at every future tea-bagging party it should be pointed out that a representative group of these "citizens" from Americans for Prosperity are the ones who cheered when an American city was denied the Olympics.

It would be nice if Bill O'Reilly went after the Koc billionaire brothers who fund this astroturf like he constantly goes after billionaire George Soros for funding left wing astroturfs.

Sure, but are any of these guys going to explore the reasons the world won't come here for the jock-fest? Super-restrictive visa policies being the chief among them. Just saying 'These other guys went too far' isn't the same as exploring the issue.

It seems conservatives must have really short term memory...

What I find disturbing is that these people cheer as if they are rooting against a rival team, which in this case would be America. Although the host city would have been Chicago, the country would have been America, which these people cheered against when they heard news that Chicago was out, if anybody cared...

Look, BillO isn't stupid... anyone who can build his career from Inside Edition isn't dumb.

Not to give him too much respect, but I think he is intentionally distancing himself from the fringe... and it isn't new, he's been doing it ever since President Obama took office.

I think he knows that the lunatic fringe is going to implode and he doesn't want to be aligned with those nuts.... he plays nice with them, but rarely does he openly support what they support and the Olympics is a prime example.

At some point the right will return to the center and the Glenn Becks of the world will be the new decades Wally Georges. Irrelevant...

Bill has a career to think about and he knows better.

Say what you will about Bill, and I have said plenty, but he has become the moderate voice over at Fox. You have to give him an ounce of credit. As the other voices over there continue to ratchet up the crazy in order to out-do one another, it seems that Bill has decided to take the opposite course. I'm not saying I am a Bill O'Reilly supporter, but since I take every chance to bash his nonsense it is only fair to give him credit when he is the sensible one.

Chicago was a terrible city to host the Olympics.

The chances of becoming a victim there, 1 in 82. In the entire state of Illinois, 1 in 176.

Crimes per square mile in Chicago, 766. In the state of Illinois, 104. The national median, 49.6

Criminals would have had a field day in Chicago.

Giving the likes of Bill O'Reilly credit for not jumping on board this latest train of idiotic irrational hatred of the president is akin to presenting a rattler a vile of venom in appreciation for it not biting you. It's still in his nature to strike, in other words.
He's Fox's tallest midget at the moment, but you all know his history. Don't turn your back on him, and don't -- DON'T -- forget his vile history. :)
