I'll bet Fox thought those were "Zamboni children," homeless kids who hang out in ice rinks.

      These are University Research Grants....

I'm sure these one sentence descriptions accurately report what these research really are and the history for the research.

This is academia which everyone knows doesn't lend itself to reality sometimes, but it's the basis of all our great technological leaps, so I'm in no position to question their wisdom and Fox certainly is not.

In the grand scheme of things, a $78,000 grant is a rounding error.

If children learn to read, they can get information from sources other than Faux News.....

Fox keeps this nonsense up even The Bush Family is gonna stop watching that network! My goodness, Fox just made it seem literacy and AIDS research/prevention are bad. WTH is wrong with those people- have they completely lost their minds.

I mentioned the Bush Family simply because child literacy was Laura Bush's passion and her hubby The Shrub did do alot in regards to AIDS. Fox is just hateful and proving themselves to be evil uggggg

And those are 2 things where I thought Bush did good work (both Laura and George). Also, isn't or didn't Jenna Bush do a lot of work on AIDS in Africa and other countries as well?

          From Jenna's Wiki page:

work at a shelter as part of an internship for UNICEF's Educational Policy Department in Latin America, specifically in Panama.[10][11] After her internship for UNICEF, Bush returned to her teaching position at the charter school in Washington, D.C.[12] She currently works as a reading coordinator at a school in Baltimore,

Tomorrow I'd like to do some research and find out exactly how many of these are actually true and/or twisted to sound bad (however pathetically.) Already the bike helmet one sounded suspicious. As if reviewing the effectiveness of bike helmet laws means the ONLY other option is rescinding them, rather than, oh I don't know, finding out what we could do to make them better.
