Not like the week of Saying Goodbye To Saint Ronnie we had back in 2004- the week in which we learned that Ronald Reagan, the epitome of all that is Good about America, single-handedly defeated the Evil Empire AND the Evil Liberal Commie Democrats in Congress, with one hand tied behind his back.

But Democrats mourning a REAL hero? Naw, must be "exploitation."

don't forget all the airports they wanted to rename, all the statues they wanted to erect, and all the bills they wanted to add his picture to.

Well we named one aircraft carrier after a Senator, John C Stennis. One after a Congressmsn, Carl Vincent.
So now we name a navel vessel after either the Scottish word for a short Chemis, an undergarmet, or a british tea clipper? I know you have to much class to make a dig about alcohol use by a dead senator...don't you?

Even if the Democrats do decide to show low class and exploit the passing of Kennedy, it will be nothing like the exploitation of 6000 people in the WTC on 9/11. Really, the Republicans beat the war drums while simultaneously reminding us of the 9/11 victims for many years. Both sides disgust me at this point as well as the media. Thank god for vacations because I think I have one coming up.

The Republican exploitation of 9/11 lead to a sharp curtailing of civil liberties, the denunciation of anyone not 100 percent Pro-Bush as a "traitor" giving "aid and comfort to the enemy," a war in Iraq which killed or maimed more than 100,000 Americans and perhaps five times as many Iraqi civilians, and massive deficit spending for this military adventure. Please provide an equivalent example of Democrats "exploiting" a tragedy. We'll be waiting.

"Never let a good crisis go to waste". Rahm Emmanuel, after it was appearant the democrats would regain the whitehouse in 09, talking about the economy. The economy was, and still is, a tradgedy that the democrats would exploit by trying to shove a healthcare bill we can't afford, down the throats of Americans who don't want it. The healthcare bill is merely a front to control huge amounts of money which can be diverted any which way the democrats please.

Not that Rahm is too charming to me, none the less where did he drop that nugget? Eight days of good news on wall street may not last, but I suppose its a tradgity for your new line of soup kitchens.
Given the missinformation out there on health reform and the actions of bluedogs taking money from corporate medicine, I don't see the democratic party easily doing anything on healthcare reform. Three quarters,or better of the population would be pleased to see a strong public option. With better information to them they'd cheer for a single payer option.
Good trick channeling medical funds to slush(?) funds to do what? How and to what ebil ends?
