The caption should read: "Delay plays LOWBALL"

Nice that he's out in front with it at least instead of equivocating. Bonafide Whackjob.

What I don't understand is when someone like DeLay says that he wants President Obama to produce his birth certificate why doesn't Matthews simply say that Obama HAS, in fact, produced a certified copy of his birth certificate from the State of Hawaii, It is the same document that anyone requesting his Hawaii birth vertificate would get...and it is valid for all legal purposes. Obama cannot control in what form Hawaii issues copies of birth certificates or if they have computerized their records. It's that simple.

The use of terms is so loose in these discussions. Nobody has their original birth certificate: that is always kept by the state. What we get is the information on the certificate, transcribed to whatever form the state has approved at the time of the request. This Obama has produced. End of discussion (for rational people).

I couldn't believe it Irony, you can definitly tell who he respects. But Delays comments are what is fueling this fringe, and when faced with the monster he hunkers down like a whimp, thus giving credibility to the fringe. Then tomorrow they'll have another show asking," Why do these people act so crazy?"
This is the sad state of our corporate owned media!

I would like to fly, have the strength of a hundred elephants, invent a battery that runs on pixie dust, and be able to drink tequila as if it were water.

We all can't get what we wish for...hey, wait! He DID produce one!

      Hi, Tom:

Could you please produce papers that prove your pedigree as an American citizen? Oh, and please provide some papers to back up those papers, too. And some papers to back up the papers which back up the other papers, and some papers to back up all the other papers.

      Theenks!

      Randy

      I am utterly speechless.

Well, not quite. DeLay, you are a complete moron.

(The man is obviously afraid to alienate the nutjob vote.)

I think Delay may have accidentally made a point...

Maybe if Obama would give these Birther Whack-jobs a gift certificate. They'd go away.

      ...It's worth a try.

almost slipped it by me...shouldn't drink my glass of wine as all too often I laugh it up my nose.

DeLay is just jerking us off. To DeLay it's all about power and has nothing to do with good governance.

Chris knew that Tom would say how he was not too sure with if Pres. Obama is or isn't. There is "NO" big story here, just one more former Republican Politician from the South calling out President Obama's birth certificate on tv - "Shocker". Notice how Republicans who are running for office "quickly" say "yes" Pres. Obama is American, and those Republicans that are "NOT" seems to think Pres. Obama's birth certificate is problematic. Wow, who would have thought this would happen. Just another Republican on tv knocking Pres. Obama is really so "jaw-dropping". Wink, wink.

Btw, Chris should have asked Tom about C Street and really made news. LOL

The roaches here in Texas are HUGE! Some of them live in Sugarland. But they're kind of slow and stupid, so just get 'em on their back and they can't turn over. Eventually they die without a fuss..........let's hope this one does, anyway. Creep on stilts!

Tom Delay just confirmed why I don't want to see him dance. His verbal dancing rates a zero. The public ramblings of a drunken birther should dance off into the oscurity that he has earned.

When is someone going to ask DeLay about the time he was arrested for getting drunk and vandalizing a building at Texas A&M? He got expelled from Baylor for his stunt.

How about all the times that the IRS slapped tax liens on him for not paying payroll and income taxes?

As a Texan, I can tell you straight up, this guy is a CREEP, a liar and a crook.

We REALLY don't like him around here. Because of DeLay's interference in state politics, our long-term, well-loved Democratic congressman was pushed out and we got that worthless Randy Neugebauer. Even our conservative Republican state representative was against DeLay's plan.
