You can debunk this until the cows come home. Certain people will continue to believe it though.

I know being an American, I'm not supposed to be quoting a Frenchman, but with all of the reports lately about birth certificates and death panels, I keep thinking of what Voltaire said.

"Those who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities."

Well, it appears as though (for now) the death panels will go away.

            I suppose you're right...

I guess it's time to move on to the next smear. That could be the name of a good right-wing organization: MoveOn.smear. I'm sure Rush and the Noise Machine have plenty more smears left.

Why not? Cave in to the right-wing whack job hysterics...

That way it makes it look like there was something in their moronic arguments in the first place.

Nope. The insurance companies will still use them, just as they are now.

I guess the Republican who added that end-of-life provision to the bill will be disappointed...

It is so amazing that something called " free Speech " in the Constitution gets natural discussion between parent's and their children and advisers morphed into Nazi gas chambers allegations by those that look like ordinary working american citizen's. Thanks for keeping WW2 alive and well and feeding the jewish community with a never ending reminder.

Neil Bortz, on his radio show this morning read from the bill and it sure sounded like they are going to be helping people make life and death decisions. It does not come out and say it but it is clear that that will be the effect. Now go ahead and hate the truth.

I think it is pretty clear that if you feel you need to talk to your docter about checking out from life for what ever reason. You get that opportunity, a few opportunities, if you need it.
        Whats to hate?

The protesters do not deserve airtime.

These are the same people who supported an invasion of Iraq that w cost the United States an estimated 3 trillion dollars. 10 billion a month.
( Read the book The Three Trillion Dollar War )

Healthcare Reform for nearly all Americans may cost 1.8 tillion dollars.

Wheh liberating the people of Iraq is more important than helping your own American citizens then this is not the country it is all cracked up to be.

These town hall "protests" are not meant to encourage debate about a matter of public policy. They are merely a forum for "show me the birth certificate" "not a citizen" and "I want my country back."

The idiots who are taking part have been encouraged, aided, and directed by Republican politicians and conservative issues organizations. They have been abetted by a media that is interested in confrontation and capable of (at best) "on the one hand, on the other hand" coverage that makes every story seem as though there are two sides to all issues and both are equally credible.

These protesters are a fringe movement of people who idiotically equate losing an election with having their rights taken away by a dictator. If they were sensible, they'd simply wait until the next election. But they're nuts, so they won't.

They are not acting like responsible members of a Democracy. They don't want debate and discussion- they want to SHUT DOWN debate and discussion. Having lost at the ballot box, they want to get their way through intimidation and thug tactics.

Moron to Specter today: "We have to oppose Obama's health care plan because it's Unconstitutional because its 100% Socialist..." even if the plan WAS Socialistic, how does that make it automatically Unconstitutional? Or for ONE courageous politician to reply in such a manner to these programmed idiots.
