Liz Cheney doesn't have a birth certificate. She was cloned from her evil dad. Without the long hair she would be Dick Cheney's Mini Me.

BTW, Liz, the actual reason your racist, nut case crowd is "fundamentally uncomfortable" with Obama is because he is black. What Carville says is true...you cannot denounce the nuts because they are your base and can't afford to alienate them.

I actually thought for a split second that Cheney was going to actually admit the real reason (because Obama is black) it seems Republicans do not accept Obama. Then she dashed my hopes out the window when she reverted back to the idiotic code speak we often hear.

She makes my skin crawl and bile rise in my throat, just like her sneaky, beady eyed, smug, smirking father does. One would think she would worship President Obama, for not pushing to prosecute her lying, warmongering father, for the many crimes he has committed.

This must be getting some traction if they're calling out Carville to defend the president.

What's ludicrous is obama not releasing the long form certificate and spending tons of moeny to keep it from being released.

Release it and the conspiracies go away. Release it and then I'll call the birtheres ludicrous. They released that baloney birth cerificate, why not the real deal?

I have no problem with his color. It's his policies I have a problem with. Hey, I didn't like the first bailouts with Bush. Tarp is a scam. Didn't like Bush's medicare part d. With obama the country is taking a sharp turn left. If you didn't like the power the executive branch had with the last administration you have to hate all the power this guy is grabbing. Freedon and liberty started slipping away with the last adminisrtaion and now it has excellerated to warp speed. obama is yelling "more power Scotty" and Scotty returns, "can't do it barry, the countries gonna break apart!"

Why on Earth should the President of the United States of America be FORCED to cater to the whims of some fringy conspiracy theorists and release his long form birth certificate, when the copy that has been released is completely legal and meets every standard for proving citizenship? Not to mention the birth announcements in the newspaper and the verification by Hawaii officials, including the Republican Governor who supported John McCain in the election.

These claims that Obama is not a natural born citizen rely on the existence of an incredibly vast conspiracy, involving Obama's parents, state officials, the news media, the secret service, think tanks, and a whole host of others who have connived since Obama's birth to build a false record so that he could eventually run for president 47 years later.

The conspiracies will not go away, because the birthers will claim he took so long to release because they were forging it. And what exactly is baloney about the birth certificate that was verified by the state of Hawaii? And yes, many of them probably are racist, but that's only one reason for their irrational mistrust and belief in conspiracy theories. Mostly they're just sore losers.

No. This kind of conspiracy theory counterintuitively feeds on documentary evidence to the contrary.

Let's be clear about this. "Birthers" now believe it is more likely that Barack Obama has the resources and influence to erase all official traces of his foreign birth than it is likely that his status as an American citizen is authentic. Why would a long form birth certificate be any more convincing? If he has the ability to rewrite his past so completely, why couldn't he just fake a long form birth certificate? Perhaps the reason for this long delay in releasing the document is simply because it requires him time to produce an undetectable forgery with fake supporting evidence, right?

You, like all the other birthers, are either delusional or dishonest. Obama has provided his birth certificate and all claims to the contrary are ridiculous. If you don't like Obama, fine. Don't like him. Disagree with his policies, dislike him because he's black -- which is disgusting and racist -- but at least be honest about why you don't like him. Sticking to this birther nonsense reveals your own lack of honesty and integrity; it says nothing about Obama himself.

My birth certificate, as well as my children's, lists state and county but not hospital. Are they talking about that little certificate, that the hospital gives you, withe the baby's footprint on it? Those are worthless, even with the doctors signature. You can not use them in place of a certified birth certificate. I have tried. Besides one would not have one if born at home.

Then those people should ride that boat back to where they came from, and they'd better not try to run for President. The Birthers are ever-vigilant!

Oh, wait, the Birthers will be on that boat, too...

But then, you have to remember: all the Birthers are white; they don't need no stinkin' documentation.

I'm not white, I don't have my original birth certificate, but I did get a certified copy that was good enough to get my passport....am I suspect?

These birthers are hilarious, I don't want them to go away... I want them tearing the GOP apart. The one crazy lady at the Mike Castle town hall listening meeting said some awesome things.

I have a birth certificate here [holds up paper protected in Ziploc baggie and tiny American flag], from the United States of America saying I am an American citizen

I have a birth certificate from the County of Orange in California... I didn't realize there was a nation Birth Certificate.

He is not an American citizen! He is a citizen of Kenya! I am here with my father's [inaudible] fought in World War II, when the greatest generation in Pacific Theater! In the country! And I don't want this flag to change! I WANT MY COUNTRY BACK! [cheers and applause]

Who is wants the flag changed? Is there some Flag Changing proposal that I'm unaware of.... this woman is GREAT!!! I bet she's related to that McCain supporter who kept saying that he's a Muslim. I want to expose and profile all these people... and for those who don't think this isn't a racist issue, take a look at the video on youtube and point out those that aren't white or you can find me an African-American birther.

Of course you are. But not for the birth certificate thing. It's because of your first three words.

So what Liz Cheney is basically saying is that it's OK to spread lies and false rumors about the President if you don't agree with his policies. What a prostitute.

And these people have the nerve to go after Michael Moore and Dan Rather. Go figure.

I do not think Cheney should be held accountable for the comments of individual Republicans, but this has become a movement and Cheney should address the movement specifically and tell us how she feels about it. She seems to want it both ways. She does not want to alienate these morons by refuting the argument and she does not want to lose credibility (what little she has) by endorsing the birthers. I do not believe she should be allowed to get away with that positioning.
