And yes, for those who would like to throw flameballs at me quoting the first amendment, yes he has to speak and he can do so at a street corner just like the teabaggers, but not on national tv representing the United Statres.

At least your suggestion asks him to do it himself, unlike his suggestion to Todd Palin...

I believe he already has, wolf. The lack of blood oxygen to the brain is evident every time he opens his mouth . . .

        Easily done.

        Change the channel.

Buchanan needs to stay right where he is. He is the best argument in favor of tolerance that exists right now. Sometimes one's only reason for existence is to serve as a negative example for others.

I do change the channel, but I'm not sure that MSNBC can claim the high ground over Fox by allowing this man and his sister to continue to spew their racist hatred . . . not just about Sotomayor but blacks, Asians, Jews, Protestants . . . anybody who isn't an Irish Catholic.

Buchanan has German, Scots Irish, Irish and English ancestry. He is predominantly German by descent. He had a great-grandfather who fought in the American Civil War on the Confederate side. He is a member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans and admires Robert E. Lee.

            Here's his genealogy:

BTW I've never seen him anything but respectful and admiring of Protestant Whites (as a group).

Buchanan: Sotomayor "comes off ... as Sam Alito's little sister," . . .

Um, I believe Alito is of Italian descent . . .

This on the heels of Sen. Tom Coburn's {R-OK} "Lucy, you got some 'splainin to do!" reply to Sotomayor, referencing a Cuban-American TV character.

If these people are gonna smear, can't they at LEAST
      get her nationality correct?

Um, I believe Alito is of Italian descent . . .

Okay, here's a bit a twisted logic about that:
        Rome is in Italy
        Ancient Romans spoke Latin
Latin developed into the modern languages of Italian, French and Spanish (the Romance Languages)
Sotomayor and other Spanish speakers thus are 'related' to Italy through the Latin language and its successors/derivatives.

If he means the responsible little sister who provides for the family and cleans up her spoiled brother's messes, maybe.

His tone is a little more subtle if what to say that, but she is a wise latina. He is still saying she's a hot bloodied latina woman and she is their to force race on everybody. Buchanans' tone may have changed for a day but he still doesn't want her on the court and would rather have a extreme conservative person or a person who votes big business. If anybody thinks Buchanan has changed all you have to do is wait he'll show his true self any day now.
