Only 6% of the stimulus money has been spent.

Here's a silly question: instead of even bothering to bring all these partisan guests pushing viewpoints, why don't they just bring on the actual economists and other experts to actually inform with facts?

These Economist Experts can "definitely" help Joe Scarborough and these other Republicans a-whole-LOT.

because if they brought out an actual economist who knows what he is talking about....the wash. times, fox news and every neo con media outlet would cry foul and say there were only liberal, because none of their people were guests. even though their people know nothing of what they are talking about, except how to lie, cheat and steal from the system

You don't do it by funding bridges in Minnesota

Actually, infrastructure is a prime example of how you do it and using Minnesota as an example is just asinine since they've had one of the worst bridge collapses in recent history.

Yeah, I caught that too, bad example dude.

        That's like saying
...you don't spend money on improving levees in Louisiana.
        ...retrofitting overpasses in San Francisco

Does it take another bridge collapse to remind these guys that our infrastructure is failing... and please, I am not hoping that a bridge collapses like the Right Wing idiots...

For a moron who equates the administration saying "A stimulus package is necessary to keep the economy out of a depression" with it saying "The stimulus package will restore the economy", that bridge example is close enough.

How was the Obama administration made it difficult for new businesses to open?

In what way would stimulus money make small business easier to open?

Actually, I know of one... nationalize health care and take the ridiculous burden of health care costs off the businesses. That's a great way to encourage small businesses to open.

Throwing money at businesses and hoping that they will do the right thing for the economy hasn't worked so far.
We gave Banks TARP money hoping they would free up lending, but it didn't. They took the money to shore up their balance sheets and lending froze up, but the banks were healthier.

Unemployment is at 9.5% and it's not going to change until business start seeing their revenues increase. If we want to avoid a depression the government needs to provide a safety net and the best answer we have right now is the Stimulus... wish it wasn't true but that's just the reality of the situation.

That's why I like schuster, he's not afraid to correct people, unlike Blitzer, Gregory, Cooper and some of the other wusses.

I love the fast talk... the guy literally said in back-to-back statements that 1.) the Obama Administration said the stimulus ALONE would be enough to fix the economy, and then 2.) the Obama Administration said if we didn't pass the stimulus the economy would be in much worse shape.

How are those even remotely the same thing? How do you talk to someone like this?

      "The sky is dark blue."
      "Why do you say that?"
"Because the sky is light blue."

      Wait... what?

The right wing and G.O.P. did note vote for the stimilus package.

They now realize that it was a huge mistake because our economy under Bush had been run into the ground and his 800 billion dollar stimilus package could not be accounted for.

Since Obama has taken office he has been honest and open with the American people. Bush and Cheney were not.

It took us eight years to get into this mess and we are not going to come out of it in six months.

The G.O.P. and right wing will try and act like the last eight years did not exist but progressive Americans know better and will never let them off the hook for the mess they left this new administration.

The media should focus more on how a surplus was squandered and balanced budget destroyed under the leadership of Bush and the right wing.

You are so right in saying how the GOP/Republicans are realizing the huge mistakes they made in "NOT" supporting and voting for the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act (Stimulus Bill) back in February 2009. These GOP/Republicans listened to Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity back then, and NOW they must slam any good news (136 days out) from the Stimulus Bill.

If America's Economy continue to get better in the next 3 months, Rush and Sean would quickly state how they are just "Entertainers" and the GOP/Republicans should have "NOT" listened to them cause what do they know as "Entertainers".
