When they quote actual figures yes. 2.48 Trillion is equivalent to 8,235 Big Macs from every man woman and child in the US.

There's just no way around the fact that these are HUGE numbers. Also we've got the War in Iraq, in Afghanistan, and now the Economic War. Ain't no cuts in sight.

I don't buy into all the stupid socialist meme but USA Today (5/29) puts the US debt obligation at $546,668 per household or about $200,000 per head. Build up has been over years but 10% of that came in just 2008.

Obama's turning into the Rebel Yeller. MORE, MORE, MORE.

Math error alert, make that about 8000 cheesburgers, only about 30000 Big Macs. Rest of the post stands.

      700 billion..787 billion..1 trillion...

So why can't the media raise the question: Another Stimulus?

Nobody is allowed to ask? Whoa..what's that about MMFA?

I for one want the media to stay on top of this. And yes, question every penny of taxpayer $$ spent by Obama & Congress.

I too, would like for the media to stay on top of the spending going on with Obama and Congress, and the government in general.

It just appears that they're not doing it here.

It's not that nobody is allowed to ask, but who is proposing another stimulus...

Why not just say... Another War in the Mideast?!?!!?

Obama economic advisor Laura Tyson has thrown the idea out there & House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer has said on the record he could be open to the idea. This could be just two lone voices...or the way the Obama administration is testing the waters of such a plan.

Either way, I want the media to stay on top of this story before it becomes a reality & gets pushed through Congress while we all stand around gasping.

If that's who saying this, then report it. Don't make it sound like a congressional plan. Feels like a straw man argument.

It's the "aghast" part that's the issue here.

"Now talk of another Stimulus Bill"

      Who is talking?
Basically they are reporting that nobody in Congress is looking to propose another stimulus bill...

So who is talking? The only reference they made is something Biden said about the economy this weekend... he never mentioned another stimulus bill.

This is such crap reporting. They are just making it up.
