Seems to me she's said or done nothing for anyone to be jealous about.
I.E., Gov. Palin "QUITS" Alaska, and she's the best Republican to do so said Ann Coulter. What? What about Gov. Palin's lame duck session in Alaska? According to Ann, the lame duck questions are just "hateful" questions coming from Liberal Haters because Gov. Palin's a Republican quitting her job. Hmmm.
Oh, wait. There is one person. That would be Ann Coulter, who in her wildest fantasies will never approach the kind of popularity Ms Palin currently enjoys.
PALIN HIT WITH MORE ETHIC CHARGES
What a maroon.
It's so funny to me how these idiots feel the need to defend the indefensible, just because she's a Republican.
ZERO credibility.
To compare people leaving an elected office to pursue higher office of public service by election or appointment, to a person who just quits the office she was elected to, is pure lunacy. But what else can you expect from people who make a living defending the indefensible?
I'm certain her staff members, people who made donations and the people that voted for her are proud of her loyalty!
Btw, I just found out I am a rabid sexist. Ann told me so.
I am not jealous of losers or quitters.
love,
Knowlies
P.S. I'm not a woman. Nor am I from New York.
Other famous made up preambles are:
"Many suspect..."
"Some people have been saying..."
"The overwhelming majority..."
Stop pretending to be an expert of public opinion, especially when you have wandered far, far from the pack!
Sounds like the intro to "The Coulter Chroncles."
$0.02
First off, she is. She has a nice body and a symmetrical face that does not have any outsized features. That's pretty. It's undeniable. The science of what makes a woman pretty backs me up.
But you think that you'll throw in a comment that she's not good looking? Why?
Try harder. Really. Or just stop trying.
If he had said that she isn't good-looking "by any standard" or that "I have no idea how anyone could find her attractive", that would be one thing. He didn't say that. He stated a personal opinion, as evidenced by "$0.02".
Thought for a second you were talking about Coulter.
Saying that she doesn't appeal to your idea of what's attractive is one thing. Saying that she isn't good looking is a statement of fact. However, she is good looking.
On top of that, even if it was simply Dawuss's opinion, it's totally irrelevant to this discussion.
I don't think I've ever seen anyone say that they're putting in their two cents while simultaneously claiming to be presenting a fact. That phrase pretty clearly suggests an opinion. And if you watch the clip, you'll notice that Coulter talks about women being jealous of Palin because their boyfriends say she's good-looking. Obviously the opinion that she is not good-looking is relevant to that.
No she isn't. You're just plain wrong.
Not true. You would, however, most likely be the kind of person who laughs out loud at Bud Light commercials if you think she's hot.
Not to delve too deeply into posterior proportionality, but that's an excellent example of subjectivity. Magazines may say that "flat butts are the thing", while someone else may say "I like 'em round and BIG".
Some say that "silicone parts are made for toys", and new research shows that if "yo' girlfriend got the butt", then you should tell her to "shake it".
Snoopy Presents: Real Twits of Genius
(Real twits of Genius)
Today we salute you. Mrs. When the going gets tough you quit your job
(Mrs. When the going gets tough you quit your job!)
Sporting a pout the size of Alaska, you're quitting the real American dream,
Getting paid to slander while whining about the subsequent attention.
(Mouthing off!)
Sure there's danger, hard questions, decisions to make, being held accountable for your ethics.
(WATCH OUT NOW!)
Your keen instincts tells you to stick to activities that involve a lot of bouncing and jiggling. And if that doesn't work, who cares? You're a reichpublican.
(It's your party!)
So crack open an ice cold Koolaid, Quitter girl. 'Cause we all know, when the the going gets tough, the tough quit office.
(Mrs. When the going gets tough you quit your job!)
I love how we're not allowed to attack a "subjective quality" like Palin's intelligence {which CAN be measured} . . . right after zamfir states unequivocally that Palin has "a perfect butt."
Perfect according to WHO? And compared to WHAT?
.
Well, she is, sort of...but in a cheap, trashy sort of way. ;>)
But, like Brabantio says, it's all subjective.
In any case, she isn't good looking enough to inspire jealous rage among Liberal Women. That's just Ann Coulter trying to stir things up, which is what she's paid for.
Best odds are that Sarah becomes the the official face of Fog News and thereby the number two voice in Republican media. She is a meister-teleprompter-reader after all and she's probably a fine "gotcha" journalist ("Can I call ya Joe?"). And think about, she'll never have be interviewed without knowing the questions in advance.
Coulter's appearance fees will wither. So too will her ability to drill down the IQ's of her fans.
And as long as no one tells her the governorship of Alaska is open in 17 months, my prediction just might come true.
im surprised there are actually conservatives rationalizing her decision as not quitting when its clear that she did. listening to her speech with those ridiculous sports analogies, apparently, she decided to pass the ball to a teammate because she was getting "full court pressed". good one, "sarah baracuda". :)
that is as straw man of an argument as claiming that keith olbermann would attack bill o'reilly/fox because he is jealous of their high ratings.
the best arguments conservatives can come up with is popularity and who is more in the spotlight, which is why they use it so much. they will do anything to be famous.
mann coulter should know... she will do anything to be in the spotlight, even if she has to act crazy, and she does a great job of it. kudos to the dead corpse.
You're missing something here, NCLAF.And that's not an insult, but a compliment.
The fact that you can't imagine anybody being jealous of Palin is probably a pretty good indication that you're above-average in at least some ways. Palin was specifically chosen to rally up a very below-average element of the GOP base.
Believe me, I had the same reaction as many to her when she was first paraded out onto the national political stage. Sort of a jaw-dropping "you gotta be stinkin' kidding me" in my head. It was only because I live in a largely conservative area of the country, and was able to hear a lot of first-hand "regular folks" admiration for this joke, that I got some insight into her appeal.
The more phony, shallow and (sorry, can't come up with a more polite word) simple-minded the person, the more they loved Sarah. She's average, and that makes her somebody the below-average can look up to, but not be too threatened by.
Ann Coulter's below-average audience doesn't have any trouble imagining that dislike of Palin is due to jealousy.
It's pretty much the same reason that we get to endure idiotic attempts at punditry from Jonah Goldberg... his mommy also helped set up Clinton.
The Cottage Industry the Wingnuts constructed in their attempts to destroy Clinton lives on, and is now hysterically yapping at the heels of Obama.
So is this finally an admission that Clinton did indeed break the law?
Starr's prosecution was the most embarrasing waste of $50M taxpayer dollars as I have ever seen in my lifetime.
Political chicanery and malfeasance of the highest order.
I guess my favorite hypocrisy was the Republicans wringing their hands about enforcing the "Rule of Law" on Clinton, then defending the Bush Administration's use of torture just a decade later.
It's just remarkable to me how far these people will go to spin anything and everything. As if the argument of "what's wrong with quitting?" would be able to gain a foothold in the dialogue if we were talking about a Democrat. It's completely laughable.
Somehow she makes a living by presenting her negative views on liberals, women, & especially New Yorkers - she may be the jealous one because she isn't any of the 3.
In what twisted toy store did you see a Barbie doll that looks anything like Ann Coulter? That is frightening.
I am also a woman and SP is physically attractive, but I find her to be one of the ugliest women in politics or anywhere else because of her lies and willingness to do anything to advance her career without meeting the necessary requirements. When I see and hear Palin it makes me think of something Judge Judy said to a young woman appearing before her: beauty fades, but dumb is forever. This is the true source of Palin's ugliness.
This is such a typical right wingnutz remark. No facts to back it up - just a wild swing. A haymaker from a drunk in a bar...
She was marginally attractive, like Ann, but such a b*tch that most of us couldn't stand her.
"Studies have shown (with no followup proof)
"The fact of the matter is" (without proving the fact)
O'Reilly's favorite: You can't prove that! You have no proof! (Even when it is right in his face).
In my personal experience with RepublicaNazi's, when faced with truths that have provable, airtight facts, they resort to name calling, personal threats, and at times threats of violence.
liberal......woman........and New York
She is despised because she sucks. She is despised because, just like every other Republican today, has no self respect and lacks the gumption to see the job all the way through. And like every other Republican today, she has no sense of personal responsibility.
Sarah Palin QUIT. The other people mentioned are still working, or advanced in their careers. Palin quit...to go fishing.
Try this at your job. Quit, then say you're a fighter because you're quitting. Blame it on the Media.
NY women are some of the most honest people I've ever met, and definitely not jealous of A QUITTER. I'm not jealous of her, and don't find her particularly attractive. I'm sorry, but I don't.
Ann Coulter should find a real job that means something. And I think she needs to eat some food. Have you seen her in those clothes? She's going to fall out in the near future. She should not be wearing skirts.
Jealousy? Where? From who? chirp, chirp...
I'm used to hearing New York put-downs from red-staters.
But you're my Upper East Side neighbor. If you don't like NY, stop complaining and MOVE AWAY.
