How could all of those other news outlets be so wrong? It's by allowing them to think that since they don't have perky breasts or pouty lips that they must be there to report the news. By not making it clear that they are NOT there for any other reason than to attract horny male and envious female viewers, or to meet hiring quotas, they have forgotten their places. Put on their shoes and stepped out of the kitchen, so to speak. And what happens when you let a dame loose to wander into the garage? Exactly - radial arm saws become clotheslines, chisels are used to remove gum from shoes... Your basic chickification of the garage.
I think (unless you're a broad yourself) you get my point. And this is just one of those cases where another aesthetically-challenged female needed to be reminded of why she's there.
Meghan Daum's article is saying that it's the MEN who are apologists for Sanford not women...
Chickifying the news? She's saying that the Old Boys Club is rearing it's ugly head because and if Sanford survives it because every man empathizes with Sanford, which is counter to what Rush has been saying all week.
She's saying that you RUSH... you are the apologist for Mark Sanford
I don't know if I agree with her, but I think it's funny that Rush doesn't even bother to read the article.. he probably saw the article, saw her head shot and decided "CHICKIFIED"
No one's excusing Sanford's behavior. But as we slog through another week of the Jackson postmortem-paloooza and wonder at the fact that we're also still hearing about the South Carolina governor's love for certain tan lines, maybe it's worth asking ourselves why. Is it because we're uncategorically appalled? Or is it because maybe, just maybe, there's a tiny bit of Mark Sanford in, if not all men, quite a few of them? And that's more than you can say of Michael Jackson.
An explanation which, of course, is much more viable than Daums story.
Generally "babe" refers to something cute, pretty and sexy, which, I don't think carries any negative connotations to it...
Or would they rather be perceived as ugly and hideous?
Nothing, if you're going to call male anchors "infohunk."
You need your news delivered with eye candy?
I just dont see why the GOP cant get minority vote....I really cant....*Sarcasm*
This is just decades of pent-up anger from a fat doofus who probably couldn't get a woman to talk to him throughout his adolescence and young adult life.
After making a few million bucks, he noticed that women started talking to him, and it blew his ego up to the same proportions as his big fat head.
Then he realized that the women were not attracted to him, and were only there to take his money.
This is when he decided to start patronizing the child sex trades in the Dominican Republic, where the young boys finally gave Rush the attention he needed.
Hey, I can editorialize just like Rush!
