That part of America, that was asleep for a very long time, woke up and voted the bums out.

"Oh no, fellow republicans aren't doing what we want them to do! They've gone renegade!"

Forget what the liberal media or the liberals do-- what makes 'em more panicked than anything else is seeing one of their own exercise their own will. And common sense.

"There is a part of America that has been asleep for a very long time that's no longer sleeping."

      Yeah, and it elected Obama.

Also, if you say 'Cap and Trade' to the average voter, how many of them do you think are functionally familiar with the concept?

1 - Putting those people on a WANTED poster is just one more case of FNC pushing the boundaries of public incitement.

2 - So wait... simply because he's from the state of Illinois that means he's a dirty politician?

On that note, dirty Chicago politics is a product of Barack Obama?

      Good grief, man.

3 - When are these numbskulls going to realize (or perhaps admit, since they are mostly corporate policy hucksters) that "free market" does NOT equal "carte flippin' blanche" for big business?

4 - Nothing could 'possibly be worse' than voting for cap-and-trade? Nothing at all in the realm?

5 - So wait? The fact that some Democrats voted as you wanted makes the 8 GOP votes you didn't want 'even more shameful'? Huh?

6 - Does this lady guest have anything more than personal opinion or anecdotal evidence? She can't possibly be 100% representative of the guy's constituency, yet she seems to think the sun revolves around her.

7 - So wait, Glenn? When you say that this part of America that is no longer sleeping, you mean people who "think" just like you, the tea party people, right? Like you mean, erm, the people in the party that was just in power for 8 Keystone Cops years, not to mention 20 of the last 28? Do you mean those suddenly no longer sleeping people, Glenn? Is that really what you mean to say, lil' buddy?

Sweet vidalia onion vinaigrette, these people a like a locust plague of molten stupid. I truly believe they don't even know what they're about to say half the time - it just plops out in a clumsy venom spit.

Well that's the problem isn't it? They think it should.

Funny, but in today's NYT, Paul Krugman suggests that people like Beck and the congressmen who deny climate change and voted against the bill might be committing treason - to the PLANET!
Beck is dangerous, because like all demagogues he plays to the prejudice and ignorance of the misinformed and ignorant.

wait a minute did that old lady (not trying to be rude just dont know who she is) just say that the 8 GOPer's were

"he was one of only eight congressman in the whole United States who voted for the cap and trade bill"

WOW nice spin there lady as according to what you just said the democrat party doesnt exist....

(or all democrats voted against the bill i'm not sure which)

and then that other dude just criticsed one of the rep's for having ambitions above his seat in congress....so you cant want a higher politcal postion now? ooo, well guess that takes all the GOP gov's senators and congresspeople out of consideration for 2012. They are going to have to run someone with NO poltical experence....

on the upside its nice to know that a part of America (read: Rerpublicans) that have been asleep for a long period of time (read 8 years) are no longer asleep...

      Beck is such an idiot...

Yes... Americans have changed... it's you Beck (and your neocon brethren) who are out of touch.. they want these changes, they want these progressive ideas.

It used to be that the United States were leaders of the free world... It's a saying that at once became cliche...

Have you noticed that the rest of the world no longer looks to the US for direction... why is that? Because they no longer want to emulate us, why would they? We're the only westernized country without national health care.

How did this become so extreme!! So Socialist??
There were emission trading in the Clean Air Act Amendment of 1990.

We are soon becoming a nation that is the cautionary tale for other countries. Don't be like the US, they don't provide health care to their people... they don't care about the environment... only the rich benefit from freedom
