The problem I see is that the victimized conservatives use "reverse racism" as a noun, whereas the activist liberals use "reverse racism" as a verb.

And ne'er the twain shall meet.

That is quite a trick, especially when the republican base is a bunch of racists (noun).

There is no such thing as "reverse racism". Racism and "reverse racism" could not exist in the same society. You would need to have two power forces for that to happen. To have racism one group much have power over the other.
What is wrong with these commentators. Are they really that stupid?

To have racism one group much have power over the other.

That's institutional racism, not racism. An easy counterexample to your point is that there exists minorities who hold racist beliefs towards whites or others who don't belong to their group, but they certainly don't have the power or the majority to do anything significant.

But I agree that these commentators are stupid and are quick to use false equivalences when it comes to race. Their commentary usually starts with the classic, "But, but, if a white man...". Well, gee, that sort of changes everything, doesn't it?"

In Straussian terms there are included; The noble lie, National survival,Fear, and Manipulating the image.
That the term reverse racism has any equivelence to racism, is the lie.
The conservative power structure is deemed essential for national survival. So their desires and needs superseeds the well being of others.
The others are identified as the cause of trouble. Which makes them a "legitmate" target for tyranny.
The media enable these memes by manipulating images.

Its not really a matter of overall stupidity, though descrite applications can usually be show to be so. The are usually a stack of bad assumptions that are assumed to be true that you have to wade through to get there.
This is what their coorporate masters hired them to do. Its not selling so well these days.

Jonathan Capehart has a point here. Opportunity is the operative word here. NFL is a good example. African American make up around more than half of the nfl players, yet they were given a fair shot to become coach in the NFL. By the mid 90', only 4 African American head coaches were hired by the by time. Only until Rooney Rule was established in 2003 did we see these black coaches get a fair shot.
