Ever notice how serious discussion results in people nodding their heads in agreement?

That's what known in the trade as "bad television." Unfortunately, that's often good government policy.

Watch this again and notice why this will never be repeated on national TV.

Sad, isn't it? Ignatius is providing us with thoughtful, measured commentary, reasonably explaining how the Public Option would actually work. It's all light and no heat. It lacks the raging, shouting confusion of the old Crossfire show, or the kitschy, wingnut meltdowns of virtually ANY Faux News Channel program, or even the wit to be found in an episode of WWE Smackdown.

But, you're right. The show's producers will fix this regrettable programming error and return us to the more entertaining spirit of bread and circuses. After all, the national id has got to be fed.

I love this guy! Here is journalism and reporting at a height that hasn't been reached in over 20 years. Someone should re air this segment. If I ever had to elect and trust a newsman, he would be it. I think Chris has courage, intelligence and vision. he is no body's puppet and he is well advised of information on topics. He is a man not easily led and the show is a result of ethics and integrity in reporting. Great Job and keep up the Brilliant work. When you can disect politics in this fashion you have research and investigative excellence. Truth will always win and is needed in governing. Chris for President after Obama in 2020. Smile.
