So if I understand this guys argument.

The UK ran a similar study that, according to him, lead to the rationing of patient care with certain cancer treatments, in the UK, where they already have a single payer system (along with a private system for those who can afford it)

Because of that, his conclusion is that President Obama wants a govt. sponsored health care.

What I think these guys are all confused. It's not President Obama that wants a single payer system, it's the American People that want it! Eventually, someone is going to have to listen.

I imagine that's the saddest thing about being a conservative. You have the come to the realization that you will eventually lose out to progress. You may stall it, or divert it a bit but you can't turn back time. Today's radical liberal idea becomes tomorrow's good policy.

Single-payer health care will eventually make it to America. It's an inevitability. The reason is that the profit motive creates way too many injustices in the current system. If your local vendor raises the price of a television, you can then decide whether you need a new one or can make due with your current one. If your health care provider raises the price of chemo, you can't make that choice. The illegal drug business works in a similar way once they have people hooked.

Face it cons, unless you start a real revolution you will lose this battle and likely every other battle in the long-term. It sucks to be you.

I especially like the part where he dismisses the opposition's argument because they're "partisan". Yeah, that's funny.

From his posted credentials, he is part of a conservative movement that has a recent history of pummeling the Obama administration as a socialist government. It is just thinly veiled rhetoric to achieve the goal of reducing Obama to innefectivity.

Too bad we don't have more journalism like this...

This individual "Josh," who I'm not familiar with, seems to have a firm grasp of the issue. He was able to hold a coherent interview and actually help the American people understand something about the healthcare debate.

I have a feeling if Josh keeps this up, his career on corporate news will be short lived.

Health care is the biggest scam in the world...

Makes Bernie Madoff look like a choirboy. These conservative million- and billionaires are going to fight tooth and nail to keep their racket intact.

Yeah, I think challenging Rick Scott's health care claims starts with noting his prior experience running an HMO or whatever it was that got busted for massive fraud.

Rick Scott is probably well paid to not admit that RIGHT NOW health care decisions are often NOT being made by the patient and/or doctor but by for profit corporations.

Rick Scott also has the invisible tin foil hat on his bald dome when he said he believes Obama wants govt. run health care when Obama has never said that.

Someone needs to find out who writes the checks to this hack. And the CNN guy was great.

Frank Luntz gave these guys (Conservatives & Republicans) "ALL" of the healthcare reform talking points. None of these guys are original at all without their talking points.

Lev did hold his own, more so than what you usually see on TV.

He did miss a couple of things:
1.) he should have mentioned that his group is definitely partisan (they have "Conservative" in their name.) and
2.) private insurances companies do a lot of "effectiveness research." Why doesn't he or his group criticize insurance companies?

This whole "between you and your Doctor" meme is just wrong. I have to take a cholesterol drug. My Doctor and I had to go through three different drugs before we found one that was covered by my plan. I've got someone between me and my Doctor already with my private plan.

LOL, isn't it funny how the Conservatives/Republicans are so concerned with us Americans keeping the decisions being made by "you and your Doctor". So many doctors are in with alot of drug companies, and this is why they push certain medicines from specific drug companies.

One of the things I've done is to look around in the patient room to notice which drug company's logo are on the calendar, or the human chart, or the cotton swabs, etc. etc. to know ahead of time in which medicines the good ole' doctor would be pushing on me. There have been times when I have refused those companies the good ole' doctor wanted, and got what I knew worked for me. But hey, maybe the Conservatives/Republicans don't know about these drug companies involvement yet. Great comment though.

I wonder how many us citizens are dead or deformed becaues ot all the dollars that rick scott and his fraudulent health care corp stole from medicare/medicaid that would have gone to treating those patients but because of his actions...those dollars never made it to the treatment of actual patnents.

Just like the profiteering dollars to the CEO's of the health care industry never make it to the actual patient care.

I just love the "it's ok as is, it just needs to be teaked" argument. After 14 years of doing nothing, all we need is to tweak it, yet when you tell them that the costs are out of control, they tell you what's being charged is OK, and that operations costs are acceptable. That pretty much leaves patients rights to file a claim as the problem. Wow, whoda thunk that the right wing would once again blame middle class and lower class america for the health care "tweak"?

The biggest lie from the right wing crackpots is "They don't want anyone to come between you and your doctor"

Well except the private insurance company that has a fiduciary responsibility to make as much money for their stockholders.
