To quote Stephen Colbert (paraphrasing here), "It's reverse racism, so-called because it's the opposite of the kind of racism you're supposed to have."

Of course he's not retracting his statement. he won't be running for office in the future.

Newt on the other hand may have realized that he'd better backpedal or he might lose some of the twenty percenters.

The way it looks now is that any Republican candidate will have a harder time winning that the candidates running on the Whig or Bull Moose Party tickets.

Please do not retract your offensive comments, Rush. In fact, we want more of the same. And do not compromise one inch with moderate Republicans...remain entrenched and steadfast in right wing extremist ideology, Rush. Just keep talking...we love how your show is growing the Republican Party. ;>).

I agree. The more he talks the better.

On another note - kinda funny how the Fairness Doctrine has taken a distant backseat lately among those clowns... have they finally realized that the libs really DON'T want it? Hmmm...

most purveyors of new ideas don't take into account the law of unintended consequences. Looking at the bigger picture, such lack of knowledge may have stiffled the republican party ( to my delight ) and sent it back to the eighteenth century thinking. maybe it suddenly dawned on Mr Gingrich what he was spouting " ain't gonna work " for an individual possibly running for office in the future.

too late to retract anyways. It is on record like when he said he wants Obama to fail. Kind of reminds me of the clip that went around some time ago of some protester in Baghdad lighting a US flag on fire and actually lighting himself on fire, not realising it is the fumes that actually burn, not the liquid. Rush is lighting himself on fire. I have to adopt Keith Olberman's advice on how to handle such idiots and just ignore them and urge my friends to do the same. When out in a restaurant and they have this stuff on the screen or the radio, just walk out of the establishment, politely explain to the maitre'd why yoiu are walking out.

Rushbaugh never retracts anything....his meals...his illegal drugs.
