Fox News at its best

September 22, 2009 10:58 am ET by Jamison Foser

Actual length of Fox News "America's Newsroom" segment about a model suing a plastic surgeon: 7 minutes and 20 seconds.

Ridiculous.

Now, it's Fox News, so this is probably a net positive.  I mean, any time they spend on a frivolous non-story is time they aren't spending lying about something important.  Wasting our time is probably the best we can hope for from them.

was a lot of the 7 minutes shwoing the model n a bikini? That seems to be Fox's niche to keep the older male vieweres glued to their tv sets. O'Reilly is a master at it.

How did you guess? Actually, in the teaser for the segment this morning, they showed 3 magazine covers with her in a bikini on each one. The camera slowly panned down the photos on the cover.

I meant to add that in the segment itself, they only showed some risque video of the model and a "come hither" kind of over the shoulder pose of the model. The teaser segment is when they actually showed some significant skin.

It's like Woody Allen's joke about the two old ladies who remark that the food at a certain restaurant was terrible, then add "and such small portions".
