I present to you the class of 2009...

June 09, 2009 9:17 am ET by Karl Frisch

The path here was long. Some said it would never end.

You lost your integrity.  You lost your senses. But you did it with gusto!

You lied. You misled. You twisted the truth beyond recognition.

Together, you may not have learned much, but you certainly sounded convincing to the unsuspecting ear. And that's what really matters, right?

History, science, economics, pre-med, pre-law... the degrees you have earned may mean nothing in real life but in the cable news business, well, it's solid gold (and if you need the money, G. Gordon Liddy will gladly sell it for you at 2 a.m. on basic cable for a modest commission.)

Friends.

Family.

Fellow wingnuts.

I present to you, the Conservative Misinformation University class of 2009!

I think my favorite is the FOX bimbo who says "I'm all in favor of free speech, just not on December 25".

      Classic.

Very well done, MMFA! The sad part is that this covers about 1/1000th of the total conservative misinformation in 2009!!

I wish I had the money to play this as a commercial during prime time for all to see. Great work MMoA. What is really frustrating is that people are so gullible to believe anything these idiots say without doing any concrete research. In fact how many people here can tell that someone watches Faux News just by the bullet points they recite? Sad....so Sad.

"Those who fail history class are doomed to repeat it"?

Or in O'Reilly's case to teach it.

That was awesome! For an encore I'd like to see Eric do a mini musical, maybe to the tune of the sound of music!

Anyone who has actually opened an economics textbook knows that tax cuts CAN increase revenues. Nice try.

If you ever opened a Math book, you'd know that it cannot happen. Reduced tax rates result in reduced revenues. Now, I understand the Trickled On theory, and it is possible that tax cuts might bring about more economic activity on some level, which might result in more revenues.

However, the causal relationship that you and the Reaganauts claim has never been proven.

        Nice try, yourself.

          Math ≠ Economics.

The logic goes something like this: If you lower your profits per product, you can offset the loss by selling more of the same product. AKA Walmart Marketing Strategy.

Just a correction for those who see a strange symbol there: Math != Economics.

So then you must be in support of
OBama's tax cuts for 95% of the people!

While we're all laughing at these clips, let's remember that Fox News is doing really well in the ratings, beating the other "news" networks regularly.

In other words, plenty of people -- more of THEM than US -- are watching that stuff and swallowing every word of it.

Those are the people who think voting for Gingrich or Palin in 2012 is a good idea.

But it is the same viewers every night. You can see how well Fox tilted the election results in 2006 and 2008. Let Fox stay exactly where it is. Those 20%ers' will vote the same way every time.

When all else fails, when facts and reality are not on side....resort to some pathetic and tired talking point about "ratings".

Those ratings certainly do a damned thing in the 2006 and 2008 elections.

And, those "people" who "think" voting for Gingrich or Palin in 2012 is a good idea are the same "people" that thought McGrampa and herr dubyah were good ideas.

If Russert were alive, you'd have had him lying about Social Security instead of his Jack Welch appointed Nantucket clone David Gregory. Read the Trustees' Report, jiminy, even Greenspan said there's nothing wrong with Social Security.
It's Medicare and health costs in general that constitute the problem. Excess cost growth that's the culprit.

Isn't damaging money in any way or form a punishable federal offense?

As for the rest of the idiocy, it's just wrong that there's no counterbalance right now.
